Paul has coached club netball at WDNA in Western Australia, SSNA (Sutherland) and SDNA (St George) in New South Wales. Paul has previously coached development level junior rep netball in 2020 at SDNA, 2021 U13 & 2022 U14 Representative Coach at Bankstown City Netball Association, 2023 U13 Rep coach at Busselton Netball Association, and Magpies SWFNL U16 head coach and U18 head coach in 2024.
In total, he has coached over 180 games at rep level and above, and more than 200 club games.
Paul's motto is ALWAYS BE LEARNING. If you think you know it all, you are in effect unteachable.
While he doesnt have 30 years experience that some netball coaches have, he is results driven and has an insight into error detection that many coaches do not have. Plus he LOVES statistics. Netball selection is very subjective to the person watching (unlike swimming whereby you are either first or you are not).... but Stats don't lie.
What better way to learn than to be training with a current player with representative and academy experience on both the east and west coasts of Australia, and a current league netball player. Chloe is an amazing midcourt player specialising in C and WD. Chloe's fitness routines will build your core strength, and have you jumping higher and lasting longer on the court than ever before.
For our younger up-and-coming athletes (10-14) we can use Chloe's younger sister Mikaylea as a training partner for shooters and circle defenders. Mikaylea is a GA GS player who set a new record in south Sydney for number of goals scored in one season at a single club, so she is well suited to assisting those wanting to improve their netball skills in either defense or attacking circles.
At Representative level, every athlete has their own needs, so sessions will vary from athlete to athlete. Once we have established what we need to work on, it's all about repeat correct repeat until it becomes second nature.
For more generic sessions (which are still tailored to suit the athlete's primary court area of expertise - Shooting, Midcourt, Circle Defence) we still incorporate Core Fitness, Ball Handling, technique and on-court drills.
We are pleased to announce our affiliation with Bauerfeind, and we will soon to be launching their products specific to netball on our website.
All NetballRepReady members will receive exclusive discount codes for use with products sold on our website.

“What you have done for our girls in the last few weeks is amazing. No disrespect to anyone but we never received any feedback over the last two years that we have been involved in reps”
“The reason this team is so strong is because of your commitment – no other coach has given this much or taught so much in such a short time”
“Hey Paul thanks for the feedback to all the girls. You always find positives in the girls and make them feel needed (a great asset for a coach and very refreshing)”
Use a brick wall and get yourself moving. Land and push off on outside foot. Strong hands, try to hit the same spot (use chalk to mark an X or a circle). 60 Seconds, then move onto your next drill.
Start off slow, get your footwork correct first. Build up speed once you get your rhythm. Focus on Small steps. Repeat 3 times before moving onto your next ladder footwork drill. Coaching tip: leading foot starts first... for those who have been coached by me know that I HATE 'grapevine' - it is such a risk of tripping on a ladder.
A quick drill to improve agility and to re-enforce small, quick steps. We set this one up to extend the full length of a netball court, so time yourself and try to beat it every time you do the drill.
